The name Lîsi-royê Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Lîsi-royê Bî was founded by Kèsh Êmê, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Overview

Lîsi-royê Bî was founded durring the late 14th century in spring of the year 1266, by Kèsh Êmê. The establishment of Lîsi-royê Bî suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Lîsi-royê Bî which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Lîsi-royê Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lîsi-royê Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Lîsi-royê Bî is buildings are arranged arround a single restrictive cobblestone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The town's somewhat suffishent have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Cultural Notes

Lîsi-royê Bî is home to a distinct subculture, who are either the majority here or have the dominant positions in the community. Architecture, local laws, and social customs are all tuned to suit them, and they may not be particularly forgiving or friendly to the major culture of the region. Communities that are not outright independent usually make an arm's-length submission to a local lord.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Lîsi-royê Bî was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Lîsi-royê Bî lost 174 people, 248 livestock, and 40 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 71, when members of Lîsi-royê Bî's militia enacted an operation to locate a particular mine. The operation was complicated by extremely hostile wildlife which took many out of action. The conflict ended with the defense of the mine against a siege, which ended in a crushing defeat for Lîsi-royê Bî's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Lîsi-royê Bî's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
